'Art in the Orchard - 2013'

I started this website in 2002 as a way to further present my photographic images to the public. All my work is high end photography which I perform myself using traditional photographic methods. I use a Hasseblad 2 1/4" camera to capture images on B&W film and a Beseler 45M enlarger for printing to provide the utmost in clarity and sharpness. Prints using film are made manually in my darkroom using archival processing methods. I purchase and assemble frames and acid free matboard for wall hanging and public presentation. Any color in these photographs is applied with Dr. PH Martin's liquid watercolor.
Many of my pictures are taken in the attractive hills and valleys of Western Massachusetts and on the beaches and dunes of Cape Cod. They represent, I think, some of the best of the photographic process and the best work I am capable of.
Recently I have been using a Nikon 5100 digital SLR. One of its amazing features is its ability to change film speeds at the flick of a switch. My new night time images were actually made without use of a tripod and my postcard series was done digitally.
